A List of Local Dog Parks to Avoid Cabin Fever This Winter near Willow Grove, PA
With winter nearing its end in a couple months, you may be getting plenty of cabin fever between the snow and colder temperatures. If you have a furry companion at home, they may feel the same way. Late February may provide some warmer temperatures ideal for walks – or a trip to the dog park. At Faulkner Alfa Romeo, we wanted to share a few great local parks you can use to get your pet some exercise in our area.
Just off Easton Road is the Grove Run Dog Park. Despite its smaller size, it’s a great place for a leashed walk on its path. While the area can be muddy after rain, its dog run is a great space for pets to get out their energy. It’s best visited in the mornings, though it is always open from sunrise to sunset.
If you live closer to Fort Washington, MonDaug Bark Park could be another option for you and your pet. Located in Upper Dublin, the dog area is attached to Mondauk Park. The location has two separate and gated spaces for dogs of varying sizes, allowing them to run free. Plus, you can take a nice stroll throughout the park itself with a leash. Be sure to watch for water levels to ensure safety while on your walks in the spring.
Located in northwest Horsham is the Horsham Dog Park. While the park itself offers fishing and walking spaces, their dog space offers a huge area for pets to run and meet others. While the park permits only those over 14 years of age, it has plenty of room for the family in the area.
Another place Faulkner Alfa Romeo recommends is Mill Creek Park. Just on the northeast side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike from our location, its acre of off-leash space provides a nice escape for pets in Willow Grove. More amenities will be on the way pending funding, but it offers plenty for your family beyond its large dog run.
