Alfa Romeo is shaking up the way it offers vehicle configurations, starting with its 2025 model year lineup. The Italian luxury automaker announced that it will be moving away from traditional trim levels in favor of a more streamlined approach.

Instead of selecting from multiple trims with varying features and options, Alfa Romeo customers will choose a core model configuration and then personalize it with individual option packages. This à la carte style of vehicle configuration has several potential benefits:

  • Simplified product offerings and less complex manufacturing
  • Ability for customers to select only the features they want
  • Potential for lower starting prices by making more features optional

While the base models will be well-equipped, packages will likely be offered to add technology, interior and exterior upgrades, performance enhancements, and more. This new configuration approach will apply to Alfa Romeo's entire 2025 lineup, including the Giulia sports sedan and Stelvio crossover.

Although Alfa Romeo is the first to announce this shift away from trim levels, it will be interesting to see if other luxury automakers follow suit in the coming years as a way to streamline product offerings and manufacturing.

The 2025 Alfa Romeo lineup with the new configuration options will be available at Faulkner Alfa Romeo of Willow Grove. Contact us for more information on ordering your customized Alfa Romeo.
